This Cancellation and Refund Policy governs all services provided by MET Multiservices, including document translation, bookkeeping, tax preparation, and legal document assistance. By engaging our services, clients acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth below. This policy is effective for all new and existing engagements.
Cancellation Request
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email or written notice delivered to our office.
Effective Date
Cancellations take effect on the date the written notice is received and confirmed by MET Multiservices.
Verbal Cancellations
Verbal or phone cancellations alone are not accepted. A written confirmation must follow.
Document Translation Services
Before Work Begins
Full refund of any deposit paid if cancellation is received before translation has commenced.
Work In Progress
If translation has begun, fees will be prorated based on work completed. No refund for completed portions.
Completed Work
No refund once a translation has been delivered, whether or not the client has reviewed or used it.
Certified Translations
No refund for certified or notarized translations once the document has been prepared and signed.
Bookkeeping Services
Monthly Retainer
Clients may cancel with a minimum of 30 days' written notice before the next billing period.
Current Month
No refund will be issued for the current billing month once services have commenced.
Setup Fees
Initial setup and onboarding fees are non-refundable under all circumstances.
Data & Files
Upon cancellation, client financial records will be returned or made available within 10 business days.
Tax Preparation Services
Before Preparation
Full refund of any deposit if the tax return has not yet been started.
In Progress
If preparation has begun, a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the quoted fee will apply.
After Filing
No refund once a tax return has been filed with the IRS or any state or local agency.
Amended Returns
Fees for amended returns are non-refundable once preparation has started.
Due Diligence Fees
Fees associated with IRS due diligence requirements (e.g., Form 8867) are non-refundable.
Legal Document Assistance
Before Drafting
Full refund of deposit if work has not yet commenced.
Drafting In Progress
If drafting or form preparation has begun, fees will be prorated. No refund for completed portions.
Filed / Served Docs
No refund once documents have been filed with a court, served on any party, or submitted to a government agency.
Court Filing Fees
Government or court filing fees paid on behalf of the client are non-refundable.
Deposits paid to reserve time or initiate services are generally non-refundable once work has begun. Exceptions are noted in the service-specific sections above. Deposits will be applied toward the total service fee unless otherwise stated in the client's engagement agreement.
Appointment Cancellation Fee
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to a fee. Repeated no-shows may result in termination of the client relationship.
Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a $50.00 cancellation fee.
Clients who miss a scheduled appointment without notice (no-show) will be charged a no-show fee on the amount of the scheduled appoinmet.
Three or more consecutive no-shows may result in termination of the client relationship at MET Multiservices' discretion.
Notary Appointment No-Show Policy
Notary signings require preparation time and, in some cases, travel. Because of this,
notary no-shows are subject to stricter terms
than general appointments.
No-Show Fee: A $50.00 no-show fee will be charged to any client who misses a scheduled notary appointment without prior notice. A new appointment will not be scheduled until this fee is paid.
Mobile / Travel Notary: If the notary has already departed for a mobile appointment, the full travel fee is non-refundable, even if the appointment is subsequently canceled or the signing does not occur.
Incomplete Signings: If the signing cannot be completed due to missing documents, lack of valid government-issued ID, unsigned documents, or client unpreparedness, all notary and travel fees remain fully due.
Repeated No-Shows: Clients with two or more notary no-shows may be required to prepay the full notary and travel fee before any future appointment is confirmed.
Processing Time
Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days of written confirmation.
Method
Refunds will be issued via the original payment method unless otherwise agreed in writing.
How to Request
Submit refund requests in writing to MET Multiservices at the office address or email on record.
MET Multiservices reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis at its sole discretion. Any exception granted does not constitute a waiver of this policy for future transactions. Exceptions must be confirmed in writing by an authorized representative of MET Multiservices.
MET Multiservices reserves the right to modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be communicated to active clients via written notice or updated materials posted at our office. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revised policy.
